John sounds like a cool character, and I like the theme of spiritual awakening, especially when you can’t tell if it’s authentic or not. I may give this one a read; thanks for the great review, User avatar. :techie-studyingbrown:

" Did John really have an authentic spiritual experience on the “magic bed” or did he just go mad?" This was the sentence that sold me, I love books that leave stuff like this to be answered by the readers because it actually makes you think about everything you've read and it just makes you appreciate the book more. Thanks for the review.

Thank you for taking the time to read the book and write the review!

I have never heard of “absurdist fiction” but can get the picture. I’m not sure if this is something I’d enjoy.

I’m also not a fan of religion in my stories, and the review helps me see this is the entire book. I don’t know if this one will be for me. The review was helpful in determining if it’s a book I’d like or not.

No, I don’t think so. Thank you again for your helpful and thorough review.

Few errors and well-developed characters are definitely a plus! The term "absurdist fiction" is also something that's rather intriguing. Thanks for the review!

I am not a fan of books like this and have no idea if it may even pique my interest by merely looking at the cover. However, you have detailed a fine review and I hope I come across it soon.

Your review is very lively and interesting! I like John's characterand the general plot of the story. Also love that it's humorous and open to judgment on the readers part. I can't wait to read it. Congratulations!

It is easy to understand how people would doubt John's authenticity. He certainly adopts behaviors that would make people question his methods for giving people joy and purpose. I like the author's writing strategy of leaving it open for the reader to decide if he was ingenious or simply mad. Great review!

Well, I must say this book has riveted my attention. I am so very curious about what made John apparently go bonkers. I will definitely read it and recommend it to some book-loving friends of mine.

I had no idea that absurdist fiction was a thing, but this one truly fits! I think any book that leaves the reader thinking is a good one. And, this one seems to fit the bill.
