I'm going to pass on this book as it is just not my cup of tea. However, from the few chapters that I read, I'm pleased to admit that the author has a lovely writing style that moves briskly. The book cover is certainly eye-catching and the title made me think this might be fun. After reading the first few chapters, I am eager to get to know the characters of Vivien and Ruth. I like the descriptive text, like this one for example, "Ruth sighed, the weight of lonely depression threatening to crush her. Lately it seemed as if the caffeine of her life was gone for good, leaving only pale, perked-out grounds for her to subsist on.” The thought of these two women chopping down a few trees, on uninhabited land, so they could get a better view of the ocean made me smile.
