What an interesting concept this story has, Dalan looks like he's going to have an amazing adventure all while going through some emotional journey. Congrats on BOTD!

Dalan and Buddy set off on an adventure with Buddy’s spaceship. They crash on a planet where desperate people live only to survive. The planet has undergone many unpleasant events leading its people to hopelessness and life in misery. A few days later on that planet, and many new feelings, experiences, and thoughts, Dalan is undoubtedly changed.
After a year like 2020, we can all probably relate to that feeling of despair. I usually don't go for books of this genre but this one appears to be original and bringing much-needed hope.
I will have to agree with this one. It could be a great way for people dealing with the same emotions to see how the character deals with their problems. I would have to say that the genre seems almost fluid in this book, based on the review.

The book seems interesting and very character driven though I think there is enough action as well. It has a very deep emotional meaning describing how Dalan moved from grief, desperation, and apathy to happiness, joy and hope. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

The message given by this story is commendable. It's trying to tell us how important it is to be aware of and understand the pain of our fellow beings to cope with our own sufferings. At the end of the day, we have to live with what's left with us while also knowing there are people who have experienced greater losses.
Thanks for this wonderful review :tiphat:

How interesting! From reading this review, it sounds like this book has some elements similar to The Little Prince with them traversing to new planets. Thanks for the review!

It's interesting that a planet that plunged its inhabitants into developing a feeling of hopelessness happens to be the instigator for Dalan's renewed vigor and great experiences. Quite interesting, congrats on BOTD.

Science fiction with a message about hope - By the Way sounds like the kind of mind-bending book that promises to uplift. Although I'm not much of a fan of Science Fiction, the themes and the message of hope portrayed in this novel are praiseworthy. Thanks for the great review!

This book seems to be pretty dense, with various themes and aspects, such as spirituality, grief, happiness, and a lot more. I don't know if it is for me, but congrats on BOTD to the author! Thanks for the review!

ByTheWay ~ is a Fictional Book which tells of the many themes. Happiness, grief, joy, appreciation, spirituality, and many more. Adventurous. Hopelessness. Emotions. Humorous.

The many changes in both feelings and emotions. Intriguing. A shift in horizon from black to light blue, to golden and finally a blazing bright ball seemed to rise from the ground.

Being hopeless is not something I wish upon anyone. That said, I would enjoy a book that makes me feel a lot of emotions. Great review.

I like it when a book makes me laugh. The plot sounds intriguing too, so I would enjoy this one. Plus I would want someone like Buddy to take me on an adventure. Congrats BOTD and thanks to the reviewer for a detailed review.

After reading the sample, I never expected this book to go the sci-fi route! I'm afraid even to ask what the tragedy Dalan experiences that throws him into such apathy. I fear the answer. This is definitely one to consider putting on my TBR shelf. Thanks for the great review!
