I have always enjoyed poetry and writing it. This book sounds like it has many gifts to impart, since they touch the emotions and feelings of writer and the reader.

I think our perspective and how we interpret a poem do affect our judgment. We can connect to one and feel like the other one is strange. That’s the beauty of poetry books. Lovely review!

I also noticed that there was a bit of darkness to the poems even in the sample. Some of the poems were not my favorites, but I expected this as soon as I read the introduction to this book. Although I will be skipping this book due to my lack of interest in poetry, I think you did a great job with this review! :tiphat:

I adore poetry especially when its meaning is deeper than words. I have a complaint about the cover page. It should be vivid encompassing the topics inside the book. Still, I am thrilled to read this one. Congrats on BOTD.

I love how poetry is another form of art in which people are able to express themselves. But, I mostly love how there are different poems that cater for different moods in this book. This is surely a great book.

I would resonate with the sorrowful one. Am not artsy so reading a poem would be hard. Maybe I get a translated one

This had quite a few serious themes, making the book quite intense, which I enjoyed. I'll definitely be reading this one.

Though I have never been a big fan of poems, I might have a go at these ones purely because of the fact that they are short, and also because they are about different topics such as family issues, death, religion and gender. I like your review. Thanks.

Poetry are usually ignored except they are from famous poets, reading just the sample page gave me insight into how exciting this book would be. I can't wait to flip hungrily trough the pages.

The reviewer has encouraged me to try this book. I don't usually enjoy poetry. But as there are 101 poems on many different topics, I am sure to find some I like. The reviewer recommends " The Invitation". This is one of the poems that stood out for me when I read the sample.

I like the fact that Rashid's 101 poems are written on a multitude of topics. The topics are extremely varied and touch upon nearly every existential idea. I am not a huge fan of this genre but I would love to give this book a try. Great review!

I really enjoy reading poetry, especially when there is a strong underlying message that isn't readily apparent. I am excited to read this because they are short poems too. Congratulations on book of the day!

The author writes on many different topics that describe a variety of emotions and events. I liked how you described "Older" to give us an idea of the author's writing style. Thanks for your thoughtful comments on the themes found in these poems. I enjoyed your expressive writing!
