Thank you very much for this review. I feel curious now about the way Genna changes her life after being in the shelter. I think it is good to find beautiful stories and it is a pity that the book has so many errors.
Anyway, it still looks interesting to me.

Nice review. I read the sample pages. a superficial one. This book is also a good read to those who are feeling down with what life brings to them. As a great poet said, "There is a rainbow after the rain".

Great review. This sounds like an interesting story. I like the idea that Genna turns her life around as you mentioned. Thanks for sharing.

Great review. I was thinking the same thing about the editing errors as I read the preview. The reviews on Amazon are all so perfect.

Thanks for the review. I noticed several errors in just the sample on Amazon, and one shift of POV from one character to another in the middle of a paragraph, so it did make it difficult to even finish the sample. The story seems intriguing, but it's hard to me to get past the errors.

It sounds like this may be a promising story line, but that the errors in the book might be hard to overlook. Thank you for a great review, perhaps a revised edition will be worth a read!

Great review! This sounds like an emotionally wrenching story. Too bad about the grammatical mistakes.

The concept of this read reminds me of the backstory to A Child Called It which makes ime want to read it but reading the review and others, it seems the spelling and grammatical errors are consistent for everyone who has read it and that really bothers me. I think 3/4 stars is a generous score for a piece with so many errors. Errors in writing, especially published writing or writing allowed to be read by public, is equivalent to having hair in your food or raw meat at dinner or undercooked rice or dough while at a restaurant. It's just one of those sins that is hard to overlook. If I read the entire piece (only read the sample) I would probably give it 1 or 2 stars depending if the plot is as good as it sounds because I think that many errors is worth more than one point notch. I think this review was hesistant to give a lower score or perhaps I'm a harsher critic of errors in released writing, but other reviews online indicate the errors are quite glaring.

This book is about domestic abuse. I had friends in, friends out, one killed from it, and I was in for 12 plus years. After I healed, I volunteer at a domestic abuse shelter for a year and half.

Not all shelters are the same. I just read to where she arrived at the shelter. I wanted to read about the rules that shelter has, etc. There are some things that are point on.Other things that are debatable. However, if I finish it, I could better say if all the points were played out. Again, not all shelters are the same. Abuse can happen in different forms, but it still abuse. Does not matter if your rich or poor.

I am not sure if I will read this book not because of memories. It due to one of the major debates in domestic abuse, when kids are involved. Many times it is childern and pets that are also in danger. Yes, most of my friends that were in or are in, have a child or more then one child. My friend that was killed was a new mom. Her baby was only a few months old at the time. How the murder happen is even darker. Long story short, the boyfriend's parents were at that house when my friend was killed. The boyfriend's father was also a abuser. When the yelling occurred, the boyfriend's mother was too scared of her husband to do anything. Sadly, most of my friends that have kids or folks I know that have kids; and been down the path of abuse, also has a darker story then most.

Loves never comes with a fist or venom words. Again, I could not say if I recommend it, unless I finish this book. If I finished the book, I could better say it was or was not on target. When domestic abuse surviors start the healing process, we are like broken birds. Broken birds needs books that can help! This is why I am deeply pondering and hesitated on this book.

It sounds like an interesting rags to riches story. However, I would be discouraged from reading it due to the multiple errors throughout.

This book seems so relevant to today's society and sounds like a really interesting plot, it's just too bad about all the errors! I would have a hard time getting through a book with as many errors as you say!

I normally don't mind errors, but this sounds excessive. Glad the story itself helps to make up for it.
