klbradley, your review is very convincing and I did enjoy it. I appreciate a well written book and this psychological thriller fits the profile. I really want to find out how Charlie was able to overcome his childhood trauma and the effect it has on him. Definitely worth the read.

I have to agree with the review in that the use of grammar is quite advanced. It immediately takes you into the scene and brings the characters and the venue to life. The ability to gain a visual of the surroundings and putting yourself in the moment is quite remarkable.

I like your review and the depth with which the author explores the genre. I am intrigued by how this story ends and the progression of the character. I like that the author uses the theme of overcoming traumatic experiences from your childhood in order make Charlie more human.

Nice review!
What intrigued me the most to check this book out was the fact that there are dreams, which I really like. I'll be sure to continue reading!

This is a fabulous review, you’ve made the book seem worth checking out, but I have a question: After reading the sample and what you said about how traumatized the main character is by the awful bit in the beginning, I’m a little concerned about how dark the book is. Do you feel the conclusion is uplifting enough to warrant slogging through the emotional rollercoaster of the book?

Not a fan of the cover. The story sounds interesting though with Charlie carrying around deep scars from his past. Congrats on the BOTD.

Your comment that the plot gets deeper than expected is the most inviting one in your review. The book does open well, and it's good to know it continues to develop well, and is not over-simple or stagnant.

I’m glad you enjoyed this one! Does the vocabulary sound stuffy at all, or does it truly fit with the story? Thanks for reading and reviewing it thoroughly!

I've only read the first 10 or so pages at this point [as a sample], but I very much enjoyed what I read and look forward to delving further into who this woman is in his dreams and why she's there. Is the connected with the traumatic experience? Does she look like the character from the bar in the 2nd chapter? I guess I'll have to read it to find out, *lol*.
