I was very intrigued with this book after reading the sample on Amazon, and I’m even more intrigued after reading this review. It sounds as if this is the type of book that stays with you long after you’ve finished reading it. Those are my favorite types of books. They make you feel... and they make you think. Thank you for this enlightening review.

Thank you for expressing your deep connection to the subject and character! I only read the sample and am close to tears, I can only imagine what someone who has physically gone through the journey, and is now fictionally revisiting it, must feel! I see the potential for this story to being communities together. It is the whole purpose of storytelling. How exciting it is to feel so strongly about something simple, and read a review that expresses your same thoughts! Thank you for your time and consideration with reviewing this book!

This sounds like a very emotional story. I'm not so sure about this because I don't like it when it makes me cry. Thanks for your review and congrats in being a Cancer survivor!

I don't understand the connection between the title of the book and the storyline. So if I hadn't read the review, I wouldn't have selected this book to read. That aside, I was always interested in what others thought about the afterlife. So I'm interested in this book as well. Also, I'm glad it can bring peace to those who are left behind in this world and can heal the wounds they have regarding the death of those who were close to them.

Thank you for such a wonderful review! From the little bit of this book I sampled, the story does seem pretty interesting even though it sounds pretty sad too. I'll definitely consider giving this book a read whenever I get the chance.

When pigs fly
This book is about the most beautiful, unavoidable journey from this life to the final destination. It unravel what it means and how it feels to let our loved ones, go in this compulsory journey.
Thanks to this work of reminder done by our Susan fries.
The front page and title however, doesn't reveal the content but it does points us to the hinted idea of a movement.

Great review! Now you have me curious as to what happens in the "unexpected" portion of the book. Glad that this book was meaningful to you. Keep up the good reviews.

The last book that I read that was after death fiction was Johnny Angel by Danielle Steele. That was almost three years ago and I found myself crying from the very first page to the last. I am apprehensive about trying out this one as I am 200% sure that I'll end up bawling my eyes out. Nevertheless, this book intrigues me so I think I will try it out. Congrats on BOTD.

Based on the review, this sounds like a great book for those dealing with grief and loss. Everyone deals with loss differently but it's always nice to hear about how others have coped.

This is an interesting title for a book about the afterlife. Cancer is a hard thing to write about. I've never seen anyone start a book with someone dying of cancer. Well, maybe in a prologue, but not as a premise. Overall, sounds intriguing.

I thought this story had pigs flying which might have been thrilling to me, but that was not the case. From the review, I could anticipate the afflictions Nicole go through by battling with cancer.

Thank you MaryBurris for your wonderful review of When Pigs Fly, by Susan Fries. I downloaded and read the free chapters of the book. I was captivated by the sweet idea of what heaven was like from the eyes of young Nicole, who loved pigs. I found part of the writing to be a little "preachy". Aside from that, the story was unique and emotionally satisfying.
