I am not a fan of war stories; I am too faint-hearted for them. I grow attached to relatable characters easily, so I can't stand a character I like dying.

I have read so many accounts of this war, and they all have the same common theme of degradation. The soldiers weren’t given any honor for their sacrifice. I’m a bit burnt out on the genre for now, but like you, I have learned a lot from reading up on the subject. Thanks for more information on this one.

Great review. I love anything military and true events. It's interesting now that you mention it that I haven't read too much on things from the Army. I have read a ton on other branches of the military so this will be nice to read. I will add this to my must reads.

Thank you for your review. It sounds like an interesting story even though I am not a fan of war stories. Being based on a true story makes it alluring.

I'm intrigued! I will read a little bit of anything. I didn't even read the reviews before I jumped in a started reading the sample, a couple pages in and I'm downloading it to my kindle. Unfortunately I am already in the middle of a book and can't start a new one but I look forward to reading it when I finish my current book.

This is not my normal type of gene. The book sounds like it has lots of details that would make the book interesting so I may give it a try. War can be a difficult subject and this sounds like that.

I like war books, especially when they're based on a true story. It will be interesting to read about the camaraderie that soldiers have for one another - is an inspiring lifetime bond. Thank you for your engaging review!

I tend not to gravitate towards war stories, but after reading your review of this book, I am going to give this one a try. Thank you for your review.

I am honestly not a fan of war stories. I do find it interesting to note that a lot of paper work and documentation is done and that is something that my mind has not viewed when it comes to armies. Thanks for the review.

I like war stories in the context of a historical fiction. This book piqued my interest due to the military context. Sometimes we take service men and women for granted despite the amazing work they do in defending the country. This book gives an insight into the military life.

I will have to heed your advise and steer clear of this book, because it is not that war stories bore me, but rather I am deeply disturbed by the violence occurring. I am afraid any positive aspects, like camaraderie, are overshadowed by it in my eyes.

I like war stories, but I don't like war. This sounds like a creatively, well-constructed war tale.

This book must have captured the actions of war movies in written format. I love war writing and the corrective spirit it conveys. The most amazing fact about platoon or army unit is unity no matter what! The review is great!

A novel set during the Vietnam War seems to be interesting.
