Totally not my type of thing. Even just title makes me want to pass this book. Specifically words "epic journey" I envision something alike "The Hangover" and wanna run for cover. Review did little to dissuade me from that notion.

Thanks for the review! This sounds like a collection of great adventures in travel and in life. I like stories of friendships and facing life’s challenges, so this sounds like a great book to me!

This book sounds like an adult version of the book where a group of 4 high school girls keep a notebook and write in it daily. I forgot what it was called though ;p Either way I love the concept of keeping the friendship alive and traveling together despite the dynamics of their personal lives, I'm looking forward to reading this. Great review thanks! :tiphat:

Your review is so skillfully crafted off the essence of the book. I liked your third paragraph very much which said "... interjecting with bouts of occurrence in their lives". It's so eloquent of you. All in all, an Excellent, concise review which should help all. About the book? Amazing, awesome, incredible, complete. The book has captured a big place in my heart.

MsTri wrote: 06 Aug 2019, 09:42 Thanks for the review, but I dislike books involving a bunch of friends, and this travelogue-esque tale will not be the exception.
Haha, I am curious about this criterion. :D Which "group of friends" books do you think are the worse offenders, or which ones caused you to realize that you dislike such books so much?

I myself dislike books that describe women as "random bimbos," as the pages of the sample make clear that this one does, so I will skip this as well!

A fancy review for a fancy book. A splendid tale of adventure and tour of the world through the eyes of four men. Sounds intriguing. Thanks for the review.

Friendship books like this one usually have female characters. This is a nice change of pace to see one with men. It looks like like one I would like.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting story about four friends and their pursuit to rediscover what life has to offer. It is worth a read. Well done.

The book sounds interesting and a pretty good example of friendship that lasts long. Each of the friends have a different life, their own careers, their families and responsibilities but each year despite all of this they gather to meet each other and have some fun traveling to various countries and engaging themselves in different kinds of activites. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

This sounds like a good book of brotherly bonding. Other than going on adventures, I am curious to see what the plot is about. Thanks for the review!
