While Pomeroy and the plot do sound both hilarious and laugh inducing, this book does not sound like it would fit a genre I typically. Both he, and the book, do still seem one of a kind.

Great review, it had me laughing all through. Thanks for the honesty, I wasn't sure I would read the book. You have convinced me otherwise.

Not everyone will be able to handle the crudeness factor in the book. It has a particular taste for a particular kind of people, I think. But if anyone can just get past Pomeroy's "issues", I think they'll enjoy the plot. Nice review

This should be a comical and interesting read (if you do not mind a little bit of profanity) which brings out a new perspective on the current world scenario mainly through its interesting central character. Thank you for the review!

The story is told in Pomeroy’s perspective, but while referring to himself in third person, which I thought made him seem even that much more comical. It's easy to say that Pomeroy is an egotistical and sexist character, but I still found it hard not to like him.

An interesting character with a "crude sense of humor and impressive literary intellect." I am glad the book was professionally edited and that you enjoyed it so much. However, I don't read political satire books, so I will pass on this one. Got my free copy, though. Thank you for the detailed review! :tiphat:

Comedic fiction? Would love to read this book. For the inappropriate language, well...
Thanks a lot for the review.

Call me Pomeroy is fascinating. It has so many layers in it. Who is Head Ward? His illusions remind me of me. Anyway he lives in a happy world, no matter what. It is hard to travel amid all that slang, you need to make an effort to understand what is happening, and all that literature that somehow finds its place in the middle of a turmoil kind of shock-sends you on another level of perception of reality. A new Ullyses (James Joyce's, I mean)? I will know when I have finished reading the book.

This book sounds hysterical--and not unlike several family members of mine. It must have been difficult to cut through the slang and determine that there were no editing errors--thank you for taking the time to do that.
