I'm glad to see women helping women, and the young learning from the old. This one just sounds a little too "fluffy" for my tastes, even with the heavier topics you mentioned. I think I'll pass. Thank you for your review.

It sounds like this book handles some very deep issues and handles them well. I'd like to try it. The premise is interesting and exploring assisted suicide and emotional abuse would be a little easier in fiction. Thank you.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting story about an older character that decides to surround herself with young women and joy after being diagnosed with a terminal illness. While I am not the target audience for this book, it seems well crafted. Well done.

The sample review gave a lot of depth into the friendships of strangers and lovers also that of family and the troubles they face daily with mom battling ovarian cancer to lovers quarrels and adventure in to a life of secrets! I enjoyed it.

This sounds a lot like The Reel Sisters which I read a while ago. Another nice novel about the friendships and love women can have for each other.

Thanks for stating about the target audience though I like the women's character in the story. However, my thoughts about "lesbian romantic moments" are quite not good. I cannot relate exactly especially about women's bonding time.

Quick question: Did Aunt Opal die? If she did then hers is a pointer to "how to go out on a high". Sounds like a worthy read. Nice review.

I read the sample and could see how the relationships were forming from the very first pages. It is intriguing that the friends decided to keep secrets from each other. I wonder how that affected their trust and ability to confide in each other. Interesting review. Thanks.

This book reminds me of the movie The Ya-Ya Sisterhood. I like your review and that this book is unlike any other female-oriented novel that I have come across. I also like that you used the Bechtel test which is something that other reviewers have not thought of. You did not mention anything about grammatical or formatting issues, so I assume that this book was professionally edited.

Official Review: Backcomb and Tattoo by Shea R Embry generates an aptitude for reading within the readers. The mysterious character of Aunt Mary Opal is appealing for us. The description of the female characters of the story in the review is natural and draws our attention!
