I have always loved stories about animals and I'm very interested in seeing how the lives of the humans and lions intersect. Also the fact that this book touches on some of the darker issues got my attention because I feel that there is so much to be learned from the trials of life. Great review! I find myself very intrigued by the idea of this book, especially because you say it talks about friendship and love and marriage. I think this book would be triggering for me, with it’s “themes like sexual and physical abuse”. I’m so glad you liked this book and it sounds like a fascinating book!
