Dennis Lorenz's novel blends environmental pollution and mystery. Dr. Buc Bucannon is an environmental pathologist who attempts to solve the mystery of the teratogenic beast terrorizing a small town in Wisconsin. I am intrigued to learn about his findings! Great book review!

Very actual theme, environment protection, and a very interesting setting- a Native American area, are the main ingredients of a well-written thriller. Great review!

My family is very involved with environmental problems, so any fellow enthusiast busy with investigation of "chemical pollutants and their dreadful consequences to life" is not something I can turn down. Even if it is a fictional character)) Certainly reading this book, thanks for recommending it and congrats with BOTD!

"Northern Umbrage" by Dennis Lorenz Ph.D. An interesting book, talks about an animal in wolf like which has great speed and amazing power that has been terrifying the region for months. It is known as The Beast. This was learned or observed by Buc. Which that has to investigated. Congrats on your #BOTD.

We cannot deny climate change and other environmental issues that plague the planet. I laud the author for his creative way of drawing attention to these concerns. Using sci-fi and wolves will surely get the young involved.

Buc seems like an environmentalist superhero! I hope he succeeds figuring out the mystery with the dead fish. I wonder about The Beast and its role in the story. This book seems like one to read; I'll check it out.

Undisputing the fact that the author did a great job by acknowledging that the story is based on environmental awareness angle and an eye-opening look into the problems of chemical pollutants and their dreadful consequences to life. Very educative. Great review.

I was kind of put off with another mystery with sci-fi book until I read your insightful review. Pollution is a major problem in today's world and we are very slow to find a real solution to it. In this book, Northern Umbrage" by Dennis Lorenz Ph.D. we find Dr. John Bucannon, Buc for short, looking for the reason a thousand of dead fish started washing up on the shore near the small town of Eagle River, Wisconsin. Not only that there seems to be a 'beast" resembling a wolf on the loose as well. With a mixture of finding out what is causing the pollution and especially the dead fish, along with finding out about this beast, Buc has his hands full and for that reason I will read this interesting book.

The cover of this book makes me think of werewolf. This book is aimed at raising awareness about how humans have contaminated the environment. The author proposes an interesting plot that manages to capture the reader, and also gives a glimpse of what a world without pollution would be like, always giving rise to suspense.

Northern Umbrage by Dennis Lorenz seems like a book that reminds readers of the importance of protecting the environment. I'm curious if Buc wins over The Beast and resolves the issue of environmental problems they are facing. Congratulations to the author on BOTD!

In conclusion, Northern Umbrage is a thought-provoking and gripping environmental thriller that skillfully combines relevant issues with an engaging narrative. Dennis Lorenz has created a compelling story that not only entertains but also raises important questions about the state of our environment. Highly recommended for those who enjoy a thrilling mystery with a meaningful message.

And, I would love to rate this book 4.5 out of 5.
