I love reading excellent character-driven novels, and I also enjoy humor in books. Therefore, I probably would appreciate this book. Thanks for a wonderful review!

You broke my ribs, I can't help but laugh at the statement: "She fooled me too."

Seriously, I think Martha went through many complications that developed a: " Do not trust anyone", personality, which forced her to tell lies. Excellent review.

This sounds like an excellently constructed book, and it's amazing that this is the author's first adult novel. Thanks for the review!

Giving birth on the road, losing babies - this is too intense for me. I'll skip this one.

Martha is quite the protagonist. She must be extraordinarily strong to get back on the road after childbirth. Thanks for your beautiful review.

Your review makes me see the novel as intriguing and emotional.

Thanks for a detailed summary and review. I’m going to give this read a miss as it doesn’t sound like a book I’d enjoy. :tiphat:

Books with untrustworthy narrators are always interesting. You never know what might happen! Sounds like an interesting book.

From your review, it seems that Martha is a fiercely independent woman who wants to make wrongs right. It seems like she has many supporting friends during her journey too; these characters are so underappreciated in stories like these. It seems like a great read!

Kindred Journeys by Marjorie Tapley-Olson is easy to read and draws one on to keep turning the pages. Martha is on a long journey looking for Farley, on the way she has twins, fortunately in the barn of a midwife. I enjoyed the sample and review.

The book sounds interesting. Martha seems to be a very determined woman and a strong one despite her weaknesses. Going on a trip to search for her boyfriend, giving birth to two children on the way and then losing these children and still not abandoning her hope is awesome. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I love when a book has characters that I can get attached to, and it sounds like this one has several such characters. Great review!
