Thanks for the great review. This sounds like a "fish" story, but I'm sure it isn't. It is amazing what humans have done to our environment and how it affects the wildlife we encounter. I hope this story helps people understand what is at stake and that we humans need to be more aware of our actions.

This fictional mystery about the evolved or evolving northern pike does sound intriguing. I really appreciate that the authors use humor in relaying the phenomenon of the evolution of the pike indeed adds to the book's appeal. Definitely adding the Northern Pike Story to my shelves. Thanks for the great review!

The book reminds me of the many SyFy movies about killer sea creatures like man-eating sharks. I do like that the author poses the reader a question about the man-made impact on the environment specifically chemicals runoff into lakes and rivers. I also like that the story not only focused on environmental issues, but also the monetary impact of these types of incidents specifically when tourism is involved in boosting the local economy.

Written by a master storyteller, today's BOTD is one that the author started telling friends and family around a campfire after a long day of fishing. Readers who enjoy hometown stories with elements of mystery, sci-fi, and humor are sure to be thoroughly entertained by fictional tale about the Northern Pike of Lake Moraine. Thank you for your review; it was helpful! :-)

The #BOTD reminds me of the same issues that Alligator Gar faced; they are now on the endangered species list. As we continue to expand into natural habitats, animal-human encounters will become more frequent. Interesting review!

This does not sound like something that I would enjoy reading, but I can see how it will appeal to readers who enjoy topics on fish and evolution. I think the author does a good job of telling an intriguing story, effectively incorporating all the necessary details that will interest readers. I think it's great how this book creates awareness on taking care of the environment. Thanks for the insightful review!

Fish that attack people is creepy. I don’t think this book is for me. I will have to pass.

I am not sure if I've read a fictional book based around fish. No time like the present to add to ever-growing list of subjects I've read. Great review.

Well, this sounds like an interesting mystery...on the same lines as Jaws? It is about the Northern Pike who have evolved. Congrats on the book of the day. Great review.

This short story is about a lake in New York where the fish, the Northern Pike, have become maneaters. This sounds like a thrilling sci-fi story or could it be true? Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.

This sounds like a not-too-fictional fiction. Thank you for your take on this interesting read!

I am looking forward to digging into this novel to find out about the northern pole creating fear in the community. Why was it blood-hungry? There seemed to be a mystery behind it and I am excited to know who or what caused them to be man-eaters.

The Northern Pike Story ~ is a Science Fictional Book which tells of the effects of human activities in the world around us. It continues to tell of a lake in New York which is of man-maid from surrounding canals and streams. Environmental neglect.

Manipulation of the Environment. Effects of the wildlife implications of our own actions. Humorous. Intriguing. Impactful.
