Sticks in the Clouds ~ is a Historical Fictional Novel Book which tells of Matt's life from leaving his job, to countless twists and turns. It also tells of how he quickly distanced himself from that kind of life. Suspenseful.

It tells of themes of friendship. Faith, love, endurance, and seizing the moments. Well-written. Well-edited.

The plot line of the book was unexpected at first because I thought that it would be more suspenseful. I do like the books that discuss a person's or character's self-discovery because at some point all of us hits the metaphorical wall in life and tries to find something different. The incorporation of history in both the United States and in Cuba is also an interesting element to the story.

I can definitely see myself delving further into this book as the romantic angle sounds very appealing. I am not very interested in the technical aspect of flying, but as long these parts are minor, it shouldn't inhibit my enjoyment of this novel. Great review, thanks!

This book has a well put together storyline incorporating history with romance and self discovery. Though the pace is slow, I think that it would be a great read.

The book sounds interesting covering such topics like friendship, faith, love, endurance, and seizing moments. It also gives a nice and detailed description of America and Cuba in the 1980s and tells what life was in that period. Congratulations on becoming bOTD!

While I am interested in learning about life in Cuba under Castro, I'm not really into romances and nothing stood out to me that seemed particularly fascinating. Thanks for a great review.

Fantastic review — congrats on the BOTD. I’m going to pass on this book- not a fan of historical fiction or any kind of romance . But... I thought this was a very detailed and great review

It sounds like Matt is a principled man. Though the suspense didn't carry on throughout the book as hoped for, this historical fiction still sounds like a joy to read.

Thank you for your wonderful review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the book. From the sample I read, I wasn't sure where the story was heading. I'm glad it had a history lesson along with the story, but believe I will pass on this one.

I am not particularly a fan of history. Although the review is written beautifully, i would have to skip on this one. Technical terms and history are not for me. Yet.

I’m curious to know how Matt will be able to handle those circumstances, from finding out about the smuggled bullets to suffering from poor treatment of pilots in the next country he lands on.

Based on the sample pages, I also thought this book would be about the dangerous world of drugs and guns. Thanks to your review, I see that it quickly changes pace and focus. Thank you for your thorough review.

Just reading the description for this book I thought it would be interesting, but because you said in your review that the history aspect of the book was educational for you I am more anxious to read it. I love history and love reading about historical events. Your review made me want to read this book even more, which I believe is the goal. Good job.
