It sounds like the protagonist, Pete, really had a hard time at home for him to runaway. I’m curious to know how the story plays out for Pete, Jake, and Pete’s folks. Thanks for sharing.

I love that the book provides insights into PTSD, which is something that most folks suffer without even knowing. I like that as one enjoy's the book's thrilling plot, you also get to learn something. Thanks for the amazing review and recommendation.

It's so sad how a child so young, 10 years if age, went through something so traumatic, but I'm glad they get a good ending. Nice review.

PTSD is a really important topic to be discussed and not limited to the military as many would believe. I studied an incredibly hard course and a lot of us came out from so broken they developed PTSD from it. This sounds like a very intriguing but very intense book and not for the faint-hearted. Thanks for the wonderful review and well done on BOTD!

This book appears to have a great deal of emotions and feelings that do not need to be awoken. Although the plot appears to be intriguing, I will be skipping this one. Great review

Saving Superman by Kathleen Sales seems a fascinating fiction read. The topics of sexual assault and child maltreatment put me off. I guess I have to skip his one. Graet review!

Unfortunately, after reading the description of this book in the review I didn't find it to my liking. It is entirely not my genre and the whole storyline is telling the quite ordinary life with normal social issues and most common of mental post-traumatic stress disorder. Sorry, but I will have to pass it. Still, congrats on BOTD!

I’m very about what happened to Pete’s mother while at work. I’m looking forward to digging into this novel to find out Pete’s family’s problem and what the title means for the story.

The story seems to revolve around characters with PTSD. There is a mystery surrounding the Memphis event, in which attackers did something very wicked. This novel addresses strong topics such as sexual assault, child abuse, and the torture of prisoners of war.

I must admit, the title of this book attracted me. I thought it was really about Superman from DC Comics, but after reading your review, I can see that it is not. This is a book about survival, hardship and turbulence. I am left wondering why it was titled this, maybe it has to do with Pete's story. Amazing review!
