The transformative journey of the main character, Billy Lymon, from despair to joy and peace through his exploration of faith adds a layer of complexity to the story, prompting readers to reflect on themes of acceptance and understanding. Nice review.

This story seems to have controversial aspects associated with Billy's character, and the author's bold attempt to address sensitive issues deserves appreciation.

The review, while praising the book's heart and message, acknowledges some weaknesses. While the author's writing and storytelling are lauded, the reviewer notes that the inclusion of background information on minor characters, while well-intentioned, contributes to the book's perceived length. Additionally, the reviewer points out a few editing errors, suggesting a more thorough proofreading process might have been beneficial. Despite these minor criticisms, the review concludes that the book is a worthwhile read, especially for those seeking faith in Christ. The reviewer highlights its value as a good addition to any library, suggesting that its overall strengths outweigh its flaws.

The theme of depression and sexual identity are sensitive topics and relevant as well so I’m looking forward to digging this book to find out how Billy triumphed over all the difficult challenges he faced in his young life.

This book sounds like it's more suited to Christian readers than more secular ones. It's an interesting mix of homosexuality and religion, but I might skip this one. Thanks for the review.

Thank you for your thoughtful review! I also found the author's approach to addressing homosexuality and Christianity both brave and insightful. The character development and emotional depth truly stood out. I agree that some background details felt lengthy, but they added richness to the story. Your recommendation inspires me to explore my faith with this book as a guide.

This sounds like a controversial book blending Christianity and Homosexuality. Based on the review, I believe the book would be an enjoyable and enlightening read.

As a non-christian, this book do not compel me to read, but the review is done very well that I can understand what exactly the book holds. Also, I liked the point of God being unbiased to anyone & love is equal for all. Homosexuality is today a matter of concern in society, so many who are interested in such book can go for it.

“Hanging Out with the Most High God Books One and Two” by Gordon Bell tells Billy Lymon's story, an orphan who finds solace in Christianity while grappling with his sexuality and his mother’s murder. Despite controversial themes, the well-written narrative explores redemption and faith. I rate this book 5 stars for its compelling storytelling and thought-provoking content. Thank you for a great review.

I really enjoyed your review, but I especially like the following sentence: "Everyone can be used by God, and God’s love is neither judgmental nor partial." This is so true and very few people realise this. In today's life people are so quick to judge if a person don't fit into their social believes. I can't wait to dig into this book as I think we can learn a lot and it seems the author did an exceptional job in writing this. Congrats on BOTD and thanks for the free book.
