Martha sounds like a great main character! I'm a big fan of character driven books so I'll definitely have to add this to my list

I was completely captivated by your review. This sounds like a unique plot with a variety of distinct characters, and I love a character-driven novel. I'll have to check this one out. Thanks for convincing me!

Thanks for the thoughtful review of this book. I'm not sure that this book will be a good fit for me though. I like that the character is so dimensional, but it also sounds like she doesn't really think things through - hitchhiking with newborns, chasing after the "father" after he bailed once learning she was pregnant. I don't like she tries to get him back when he made it clear he wanted nothing to do with her. I'm sure that others will enjoy this book, but I think that I'm going to pass on this one.

I was sad on the story and I cannot dare to read a story such as this. I am intrigued if Martha will still be able to get her babies back. This was a heart-wrenching novel.

The pregnancy definitely changed her life not expecting it at that time and her determination to find the father going through all that is actually heroic cause she could have stayed home but she went to find the father of her children

This one sounds quite compelling and deep as the main character sets out on her own to find the father of her baby. So much seems to happen to this person, but what a touch of realism in something that is fiction. How exciting for this first time author to have put together such a complex story.

This book sounds like it could be a really good read. I sound terrifying and a reality point of view. This was a great review.

A well-edited book following a pregnant woman's journey across time and half a continent sounds interesting. An intriguing fiction anybody can relate to

It seems so sad for a pregnant woman to be left alone. How for just nights of pleasure was made to thread a lifetime of hell. I may not shun stories of misfortunes, but not this kind which depicts such helplessness and the thankless struggle for a love that seems so way out of reach. Thanks for the interesting review.

I like that the characters are all connected somehow. It’s interesting to be able to puzzle it out.

It's been a long time since a story has drawn me in so quickly.

Martha and Francesca both seem like such strong women who are determined to move beyond their circumstances and have better lives.

Love it so far. 🌼

Martha seems to be a strong character to be able to bear all that happened to her. I like the feel of humor in the book.

From your impressions, it sounds like this author is a gifted writer indeed! And quick-witted abilities can so easily reinforce manipulative tendencies in people with a predisposition to lie. They just learn to lie even better.

I have to wonder why Martha lied so much and apparently so easily. It's sad that there was no support for Martha and as a result ended up losing her children. This sounds like an extremely moving book, and I want to read it but only when I'm ready. Great review!
