I haven't read them all yet (or even in order) but so far I've read Over The Edge, Gone Too Far, and Breaking Point. The series is impressive, the downside is sometimes too many chacters and things going on at the same time. I find myself reading some of the books 2-3 times in order to focus on one situation or group of characters at a time. The upside of the series (and it's a very large up!) is some of the characters and their lives REALLY stand out. For example; The characters Alyssa Locke and Sam Starrett as well as Gina Vitagliano and Max Bhagat quickly became some of my all time favorite characters. There's lots of particular things I'd love to discuss about the characters and stories but first I'd love to hear some opinions and thoughts from everyone else who's read any of this series 8)

Hi. I have read almost the whole series. I just recently finished Hot Pursuit , Alyssa and Sam's latest story and Breaking Point, Max and Gina's story. I liked following the different couples throughout the whole series. It made it more interesting to me. I constantly wonder whose story Brockmann is going to write next and what twist and turns their lives are going to take. This keeps the series alive and fresh for me.

Over the Edge about Teri and Stan was very interesting. There may be books that actually predate it, but this one really seems to be the basis for a lot of the other stories in the series. Besides Teri and Stan's unusual courtship, we learned how Alyssa and Sam's love/hate relationship began. We also learned how Max and Gina's lives intersected at that point and about Jules Cassidy's involvement in everyone's lives. Call me a romantic, but I enjoyed the struggle Stan had with wanting Teri, but believing he was too old and ugly looking for her to be interested in. The old May-December romance issue. The tie-in with Helga and Stan's ancestry really made the book come alive for me. I liked the way the past suddenly tied in with the present.

I also liked how Teri was protrayed as a respected and vital part of the team, yet she was also recognised as a woman. I liked how she was protrayed as a excellent pilot regardless of her gender. The same with Alyssa Locke being a kick-ass sniper. A lot of authors shy away from placing women in these mostly masculine roles. Brockmann brings them to the front and center.

Anyone else have any thoughts or opinions on any of the above? I would love to hear them.
