The Help Kathryn Stockett

Post by marycatherinehayes »

I have just finished reading this book, and I have discovered a whole new world. It has really opened my eyes to how it was in the 60's of the deep south. I thought it was bad but I never actually realised until I read this how bad it actually was. The book was amazing, and shows you a better history of the era than actual history books in schools. I learnt about these things during my lessons in school, but actually I learnt more reading this book than I did in school itself. Loved the book, just got to see the film now and see if the book is better, but based on past films based on bboooks it will be.
