I just started reading this, and so far his written word is just as hilarious as his spoken word. Great commentary on just about anything under the sun from LSD at music festivals, to his family and the Government as well as other life experiences.

Nothing's Sacred is a hilarious autobiography, I enjoy dark humor as well. And he delivers that in this book among other things lol. I have it on audiobook

I love these phrases from the book:

"If The post office didn't already exist, Kafka would've invented it."

"We are passing on a legacy of sh*t." haha, great stuff!!

I'm a big fan of Lewis Black. I like angry humor. It's one thing to make jokes about things and ust kind of laugh them off yourself, but the things he talks about are usually (at least on the political side) things that impact you and anger is an appropriate rection to some things. Not everything can be laughed off, but almost everything can be funny.

Haha, I'll laugh at angry or dark humor when its "political" I don't know if thats always a good thing, but politics get my blood pumping. I need something to take the edge off at times.

I like Lewis Black's stand up comedy. I have a DVD of it at home. I have never read a book written by him. It's hard to imagine him writing rather than performing because his shows are so animated. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to read that book.

I went to see Lewis Black at the Bass Hall. He was hilarious! I also liked watching coverage of him on the daily show during the elections.

i'm a fan also, i wasn't aware of his book either. i'll have to check it out soon. but he's a character for sure, super funny guy.

Comedians are the first line of free speech about things like politics and social issues. Quite often, they are the last line too.

I watched some Chris Rock stuff while I was in the US and for as feral as he can be, he raised some brilliant points in there!

I got to wonder if i hadnt seen him before reading his book, would it be as funny(or funnier)
His on stage emotions and actions really add to the comedy.
Kind of like when John Belushi did the news on Sat Night Live.
