Hi everybody, new to the forum! I have been enjoying reading all of your posts and figured I would post one of my own. I started reading books for enjoyment last year (besides college , etc.) .. All year I have read self-help and motivational books. I then took to biographies and autobiographies of great men and other free kindle books I could find. I have recently started reading fiction and stumbled across "The Collector" by Fawles, and I loved it. I just purchased "The Magus" by Fawles and am going to give it a start today. Has anyone here ever read these books, and do you have any other recommendations? Thanks for reading my post have a great holiday season!

I think more people would look at this thread if you spelt the name "John Fowles". I have to say I found The Magus creepy, and not in a good way. Very well written, but just an unpleasant set up. I liked A Maggot better - where Maggot has the meaning of something like a throwaway piece of music, or something light and unimportant, rather than a wriggly insect.
