I have several suggestions, although I was wondering what exactly are you looking for? Older literature, something new..more recent?

If you love Jane Ayre I suggest Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys. Rhys wrote it in response to Jane Ayre, its basically the background of the 'madwoman in the attck', telling the story of how she came to be. Very good read

I am actually interested in anything...old or new. And thanks for the suggestion of Wide Sargasso Sea, but I have already read it. You're right, though. It was a really great read and very interesting!

I get the vibe that you might enjoy reading novels from Indian/Middle Eastern authors. I love to seek them out and enjoy their stories. If you enjoyed The Namesake, then maybe you will also like Lahiri's other book of short stories- Interpreter of Maladies. Another good book that I loved was Brick Lane by Monica Ali.

Chuck Palahniuk, i recommend him to everybody, he is not everyones cup of tea, but i really suggest you try one, to se if you like his writing style.
Top threee by him to go for would be Fightclub, Invisible Monsters or Survivor.
Haruki Murakami, his books are beautifully written, try Kafka on the shore.
Ive recently read the master and margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov which i enjoyed no end, everyone should read it.
Aftermath- Peter Robinson is one of my favourite crime books, its a book from the middle of the series but you dont need to read them in order really, i have never done.
Happy reading, i hope you find some new favourites
