Man Mission by Eyton Uliel is one of the best books I have read recently, or, possibly, ever. There were absolutely no elements that I disliked. While other authors have done an acceptable, even exceptional job of shifting back and forth from past to present, or sub-plot to the primary plot, this author achieves this superbly. I appreciate the ability to accomplish this so well because it alleviates any confusion this sometimes causes me. I encountered no typographical or grammar errors. Thus, it was obviously professionally edited enhancing my enjoyment of reading it.

Without giving any spoilers, I would like to give potential readers a taste of the story. The story begins in Australia, with four male college friends. The main character is never named, so I will refer to him as the narrator. The newest member of this circle of friends, Sam, listens to the narrator talk about his fantasies about vacations and sampling exotic cuisines. Sam likes the ideas but suggests adding outdoor activities, some of which could be considered extreme sporting activities. For the next three years, the group of friends concentrates on entry-level jobs in their respective careers. Unexpectedly, Sam calls the narrator and says, "Let's go", referring to the fantasy vacations. So, the first Man Mission would include just these two friends. It consisted of biking in remote areas of New Zealand for five days. The narrator endured some injuries and some strange encounters but did make it back to Australia.

Back in Australia, the four friends' careers were advancing. Some married and the narrator proposed. For the next Man Mission, they invited the other two friends, Daniel and Alec, who both declined. Man Mission II was cycling in Japan with Sam sustaining the injuries this time.

Again, back in Australia, careers were advancing and families were being made, Daniel joined Sam and the narrator Man Mission III, which consisted of kayaking in Australia for five days. Alec finally joined the group for Man Mission IV and future Man Missions.

The four men continued their Man Missions for eleven more years for a total of fifteen Man Missions in fifteen years. Lives at home in Australia consisted of career changes, a divorce, and Alec finally acquiring a stable job and getting married. These men were able to share their problems, fears, and concerns with each other on an intimate level on each Man Mission.

I will not give any more synopsis of the further Man Missions because that would spoil the fun of reading this book. I wanted to describe several of the Man Missions so potential readers would get a good idea of what to expect, a teaser if you will. As I previously stated, this author does an exquisite job of transferring from home life to Man Missions.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. Even though I am a woman, I found the dialogue to be humorous and realistic. I loved this Book! I recommend it to adult readers due to some profane language and adult situations.
