Review by SR91 -- Strong Heart by Charlie Sheldon
When I have seen this title to this book, I had to save it to my bookshelves. I had a feeling that this book had to do something spiritual, I just don’t know how. While reading this book. Not that bad; it was a great book. It has that cover where it can grab an attention, like come on, it has the fancy writing, a person standing on top of the mountain like they are hiking or something, and has a partly cloud in the sky, it’s still a great weather to go on a hike. It got me thinking of camping right about now.
This book talked about the Native American Spiritual way to finding yourself or getting to know your family. They have a great way to connect with relatives if you ask me. I wish I could find more about their culture. While anyway, “Strong Heart” by Charlie Sheldon is an amazing story. It feels like it can change someone’s lives around as they are reading it. I couldn’t stop thinking about reading this book, I would have to stop whatever I’m doing and hop onto my computer to read it.
In this book, it describes how they live and how they survive without electronic. It took one family to change one person live around. I like the characters, except for one. In the beginning of the story, one character was too stubborn to realize there's more to live than anything. It took this character named Sarah a while to realize about the family's history. Her grandfather had to share his story about the time that his father or his grandfather had to kidnap him up in the mountain. And yes, kidnapping, I really don't know why they call it kidnapping. I guess it runs in the family. It sounds weird, but it is what they do. It comes to mind, you never know what runs in the family or what's in the family history until they tell you the story.
In the description, “Strong Heart is the first tale in the Strong Heart series. Adventure, scientific inquiry, a tinge of mystery, and a hint of the unexplainable infuse this meticulously imagined tale. In a story matching the breathtaking scope of its Pacific Northwest and North Pacific setting, Sheldon’s tale startles, yet challenges us to think.” In according my research, there are only two books in this series. And yes, I will read them both.
In my honest opinion, I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves adventures, spiritual and even loves natures. I would want to read this book twice. This is book is amazing. I can't stop reading this book, I hope whoever reads this book experience the same thing.
