Sebastian Faulks Trilogy

Has anyone heard of the Sebastian Faulk's trilogy that the more famous story "Birdsong" came from? I recently read the trilogy which consists of these three titles:

Birdsong
Charlotte Gray
The Girl at Lion D'Or

I absolutely loved it. I would just like to take this chance to say to anyone that comes across this post, READ READ READ this trilogy. It is full of compassion, keeps you on the edge of your seat gripping the book and even gives a little French wartime history lesson, which isn't as eventless and dull as it sounds.
If anyone has read this trilogy, do you also share these views? Or is it just me? I love Faulk's way of writing and portrayal of compassion and love in his writing, I just wondered if anyone else out there holds these books in as high regard as I do?

I agree an excellent series - I would probably place The Girl at Lion D'Or as my least favourite although I would recommend all three.
Human Traces & A Possible Life are also excellent.
Faulk has for sometime been one of my favourite authors.

I love all of his books. Charlotte Grey has to be my favourite. I think it is the most thrilling out of the trilogy.

Yes I agree, Charlotte Gray and Birdsong really take you back to the wartime era but Lion D'Or just doesn't quite cut the mustard. It is a great book but average compared to the other two.
