When I saw the title, I Don’t Have Time for This sh*t, I was instantly intrigued by this book. As a phrase that often runs through my head, I was excited to escape into this book and read something that was sure to bring some comic relief to my life. Priscilla, the name of the author and the main character, has been recently dumped by her fiancé that she has been engaged to for the past eleven months. Now the title of the book makes sense, as I would be pretty pissed off too. Thankfully, Priscilla has some sassy girlfriends who can help her get through this frustrating and lonely time. Sometimes though, her friends seem to create drama instead of helping with the drama she already has.

A great example of this would be an event one of her friends is organizing called Sip and Pitch. Not one but two of Priscilla’s ex-boyfriends make an appearance, which is sure to cause a commotion among the friends and family gathered there. Will she fall back to one of them or move on to a new love interest? The drama doesn’t end with this fun-filled night but gets darker and crazier from here.

Priscilla B packs a lot into this quick read. As I mentioned before, the title and cover art drew me to this novel. The story itself was to the point and action-packed. I like how the author used the title or a similar phrase at the end of each chapter. It made for the perfect ending because it reveals something that many of us wouldn’t feel we have time for.

One thing I didn’t enjoy about this novel was the constant drama or fighting between Priscilla and her friends. Sometimes I felt like I wasn’t even sure why they were fighting in the first place. While the grammatical errors in this book weren’t overwhelming, there were at least ten, which is a lot for a short novel. Also, the formatting seemed a little off near the beginning of the book. Some pages would be a block of text with no paragraphs despite there being dialogue within the text. That made for some confusing reading. This problem did seem to improve as the story went on.

I rate I Don’t Have Time for This sh*t a 3 out of 4. I had to reduce a point for grammatical errors and formatting issues. I would recommend this book to those who like drama and romance. This novel made me think of Lizzo’s song “Truth Hurts”, and I think would be similar to the show The Real Housewives of Atlanta. This book is appropriate for adults only due to inappropriate language and sexual content.

I think I would enjoy the way the author ends each chapter, just like you did. Thanks for the review.

The book title sure got my attention. I also love the book cover, that's a nice work. I wonder how Priscilla handles the situation and how it eventually plays out. This would be interesting and I'm adding it to my shelf, thanks for the review.
