In the year 1947 India were free from colonialists.Nonetheless, seventy years of self rule, India is still in chaos, there is perennial impoverishment of citizens, do you wonder why this is happening? Do you wonder why India is still in shambles? Do you get flabbergasted by the poor governance of India? Then India in Chaos, Only Judiciary Can Save by K. C. Agrawal is for you!

India in Chaos, Only Judiciary Can Save is an outstanding assessment of the present system of governance in India. Agrawal has highlighted issues in the book in the most lenient way ever, which in turn attracts the attention of the reader.

The Author has divided the book into three distinct parts, part 1 explains each and every difficulty in India and also how the current system of governance is incapable of handling the problems for the past seventy years which is tantamounting to extreme impoverishment and also he questions their capability to execute it. Next part explains the causes of the current failures, making of constitution and measures to establish responsible and accountable system of governance, the last bit gives diverse guidelines and road maps to salvage and refurbish the current dilapidation of development in India.

Mr. K.C Agrawal has employed the use of styles and technicality in the book making it very interesting. Wherever the author is pointing out issues he provokes the wrong deeds by our governing guardians without fear of contradiction, he ridicules the poor governance, that it provides freebies, dole outs, charity donations and reliefs to the citizens to gain political endeavors. They are rather oblivious of their unmindful acts which could lead to wasting of government resources that would have been used to develop the country.

The Author believes that judiciary can only salvage India, he agrees that constitution is a key to progressive society and judiciary is the custodian. On page 29 his utterance is evident, “The role of judiciary is extremely vital in such matters to enforce the law of the constitution”. He believes that judiciary can only interpret the constitution better, that the judiciary should enact and implement valid laws which every citizen should adhere to including even the legislators themselves, so that no one violates the law despite superiority in governance.

Mr. Agrawal has emphasized on worthy constitutions of other nations like United States, Germany, South Africa, Switzerland among others to help make comparison with that of India. Moreover, the author has pointed out the role of United Nations in regards to human rights; this helps the governing guardians and citizens to be aware of their obligations.

I did not found any deterring errors while reading this book. There were minimal errors, and can therefore, conclude that it was professionally edited. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars and I, therefore, recommend it to politicians and to the loyal citizens of India who are eager to understand democracy and their constitution better and develop a progressive India.
