This book, 13 Reasons Why, is about a girl named Hannah Baker who has just committed suicide. She has just moved to a new school and is hoping for a fresh start. No such luck. Before she dies, she records 13 tapes with the names of 13 different people on them and sends them out. On each tape there is a different persons name and she explains why each person is on the tape; they had some part in Hannah's decision to commit suicide.

This book is told from the point of view of a guy Hannah's age named Clay Jensen. What people didn't know is that Clay had a crush on Hannah and wanted nothing more than to be her boyfriend. He tried to be there for her but he was too scared of what other people would think. So why did she commit suicide?

Clay listens to every tape and has to hear all of the terrible things that Hannah went through, and it's already too late to help her.

This story is aimed towards teens and I think that Jay hit it right on the dot. Hannah talks about struggles that every teenager has gone through and makes this book very relatable. Essentially, I think that this book could save someone's life because it could show them that their life isn't so bad and there's always going to be at least one person out there who cares. This book also gives warning signs for people to see when someone is contemplating suicide. If someone read this book and realized that their friend of family member is showing any of these signs, they could stop and help them. I felt that this book really got to me and would to any reader.

I also hear talk that this book may become a movie?
