So Much Closer by Susane Colasanti

Post by lacytianna27 »

Let me start out by saying that I hated this book. Okay, maybe I didn't hate it but it really got on my last nerve.

So Much Closer is about a 17 year old girl named Brooke. The book starts out the summer before her senior year. Brooke has been in love with Scott for as long as she can remember. She finally gets to talk to him after idolizing over him for years and she finds out he's moving (oh no). The love of her life that she's talked to once moving! What could be worse?

Let me just say that Brooke (the main character) is psychotic. She says that she just knows that she and Scott are meant to be together, she can just feel it. So what better idea than to follow him to New York? Well that's what she does. She moves in with her father who she hardly ever speaks to, sacrificing living with her mother and leaving her friends behind her senior year. Her mother and friends have always been there for her but she is so crazed over this guy that she forgets how much they care. Ultimately, she is choosing a boy over family and friends.

Brooke starts school and realizes that Scott already has a new girlfriend. How could he when they are meant to be together?

This book is pretty much about a naïve girl who is stalking her crush and leaving all the important people in her life behind in order to do so. This book especially bothered me because that is not how teens act. I don't know any teen that would sacrifice their senior year to chase after some boy they hardly knew. I do not recommend this book at all unless you're into reading about whacked out teens.

This is funny. A stalker book. Some people really act crazy like this. The title is even funny. Wow!
Words from the page makes the movies play in my mind so I don't need no stinking TV
