Just Another Day by E. Alan Fleischauer is a well-written collection of short stories. From the very first story you are thrust into situations that you have no clue as to what is to happen next. I couldn't wait to read the next page and then with such stellar endings, you just can't wait for the next story. There is something for everybody's taste. From stories that make you smile and stories that make you tearful. To a detective story and a western with a twist.

The stories are on random topics, but skillfully introduce well rounded characters in a short time. The characters ranged from a retired factory worker with a Valentine's Day gift, to a hero in a homeless man. The plots were never ordinary and not at all predictable. I found myself smiling through the whole book. The book is at the moment unpublished and contains notes. These notes I personally enjoyed and felt were all good ideas. They might hinder the next reader a bit . A revised version with the changes noted would be exactly right.

This one should be published for sure. Its a great read and contains modern and relevant topics. The Corona Virus even makes an appearance and is yet another good story.
Be prepared to go on an emotional roller coaster. Some are funny and intriguing, and then others are touching and very deep.
The short stories are all based on holidays that are American yet well known worldwide. The last story Sherlock and Tiger was the longest story and I enjoyed it a lot.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. This is an addictive read and are almost fairy tales for adults. There is a story that involves Jesus. I didn't find anything offensive and thought it was a happy, respectfully told story. I just felt it should be mentioned. Also, there are sensitive subjects that appear in the stories, but not on a detailed level and serve to tell a great story. The author doesn't go out to shock the reader. Instead you are treated to plain old fantastic storytelling. The book is well edited despite highlighted notes occasionally. The voice of the stories welcomes the reader and is a rare quality.

I would recommend this to anybody to enjoy. There is a wide range of stories for every type of reading fan. It will suit fiction fans well, but does refer to real events at times. Fans of books with super strong characters they can believe in, will love this one.
