Dad, Why Are You Still Talking About Saul Alinsky, He's Been Dead Since 1972? is a political analysis book written by Steve Borovay. It takes us through the Mueller's investigation that was launched, after America's 2016 election, to investigate Trump's collusion with Russia to fraudulently win the election. But that is not all. Among other political issues, it also tries to unearth how MSM (mainstream media) tricked Americans into believing that President Trump did not transparently take over the presidential office.

In doing this, the author aims at proving that, indeed, the incumbent POTUS (President of the United States) did not collude with Russia to obstruct Hillary from taking over the White House. This has been facilitated by citations from various sources, satirical picture illustrations, the author's vast knowledge of current affairs, and a Q&A format that makes it read like an interview.

My favorite aspect of this book was the author's call for the youths to take time to play an active role in issues affecting society, instead of spending too much of their time on the phone and social media. I also liked the author's plea that some of the key witnesses in the Mueller's investigation that were silenced by the government to be allowed to give their testimonies. This will promote transparency and freedom of speech, and in turn, allow Americans to know what exactly transpired.

However, I most disliked the author's blatant display of partisanship in this writing. Although he's claiming otherwise, that his arguments are impartial, I could obviously see his efforts to taint Obama's name, and he tremendously leaned toward that. The author himself uses Alinsky's ways to manipulate readers into believing his partisan views. For instance, based on the author's tone, choice of words, and direct references, I could see he regarded most Obama-related stuff with contempt, from his regime and associates like Hillary to every ideology Obama believed in. On the other, President Trump and all his anti-Obama associates seemed to be spotlessly clean; he often seemed to have lenient ways of viewing their imperfections. This makes this book a one-sided representation of American interests as it, in a way, promotes double standards.

All in all, I believe this book was professionally edited since I found just a few minor errors. The errors were not distracting, and therefore, could not influence my final rating. However, I can only award Dad, Why Are You Still Talking About Saul Alinsky, He's Been Dead Since 1972? by Steve Borovay 3 out of 4 stars due to the author's blatant display of partiality. Had it not been for the aforementioned reason, it could have earned my perfect rating.

For those who have been following America's 2016 election and the matters that ensued thereafter such as the Mueller's investigation, I highly recommend this. On the other hand, Democrats and supporters of the former (Obama's) regime may resent some of the author's arguments. So, they may consider skipping this. As to sexual content, there was nothing erotic in this book; although there were some instances of profanity. This makes it unsuitable for children.

Q&A format sounds interesting and fresh, I also agree that the youths should put their phones and social media aside, at least from time to time. Frankly speaking, this book is not my kind of read, but I really enjoyed your review

The title is definitely amusing, but I'm not interested in this book.

Today's BOTD is for those who enjoy reading about political issues; unfortunately, that's not me. I like what the author said in addressing the youth of our country, "It’s time for all to put your social media aside and pay attention to what is going on in this country as your freedoms are at stake." Bold statement...one I wish our own leader, himself, would take into consideration. Thanks for the review!

This book talks about an interesting and controversial theme in politics. However, I don't think if I would appreciate the lack of impartial arguments of the author. But still, I will give this a try and sample it since it has a great rating! Thanks for the insightful review!

I usually try to avoid political topics in conversation, but I’m more likely to check out a book about politics. Still not my favorite genre, but the cover of this book makes it look more entertaining than most non-fiction. Thanks for the helpful and informative review!

This political book explains the facts pertaining to Trump's election and administration. It also talks about Obama and his policies. It would be a good book for those that only follow mainstream media since they would get a better understanding of actual events.

The book sounds like just another attempt to exonerate President Trump from his crimes. I won't be reading this book. Ever.

A book on politics is not an easy go. The author must always be ready to face criticism from an opposing side. In this case the reviewer has done a great job in pointing out the authors siding. However, it will be interesting to know the kind of evidence presented against the supposed allegations.

The Q&A format made me enjoy the book, too. His conversations with Jonathan were informative and entertaining at the same time. Thanks for pointing out the "manipulating readers". I haven't finished it yet but I'll try not to be influenced with your arguments. As a youth, I liked how he encourage us to participate the democratic demands of our society. I'm not from USA but I love how he cares for democracy and how he's keeping it healthy through writing.

BoTD! It's difficult not to be partial(or even sound partial), we(the writer) will always say what we believe in. Although, to a lesser extent if you try so hard not to sound partial.
