Tom, William, and Myra were getting ready to head out on a long hike in the Olympic Peninsula when suddenly Tom’s ex-wife dropped Sarah off. Sarah is Tom’s granddaughter, except Tom never knew Sarah existed. Now Sarah is unwillingly along for the ride. But is she just along for the ride, or is she leading it? I rate Strong Heart by Charlie Sheldon 4 out of 4 stars. This was such an amazing book.

There is a bit of profanity in this book and quite a bit of violence, so keep that in mind. There were also hidden mentions of possible rape. I think this book caters to audiences that enjoy fictional history, stories of family coming together, and stories with strong ethical messages. I do not recommend it for young readers. It was very well written and edited. I found no typos while reading. This was all around just a very good book. I will be reading it again.

My favorite part of the book is Sarah’s journey. I was very fascinated and wanted to learn more. In the beginning, her journey was hard to follow because it was very different from the original storyline. I was sad when her journey came to an end because I was really invested in that side plot. It was a large and important part of the story, but I could read that as a book by itself. I also really enjoyed the message the book has. Family is a really important factor in this book and that was something I enjoyed.

Another important factor of the book was that even if something sounds unbelievable to you does not mean it did not happen to that person or that their experience is invalid because you do not believe it. It was slow going in the beginning, but it really picked up once you got about a third of the way into the book. It was a very fun book and it kept me entertained the whole way through. The fact that it is almost two stories in one just makes it way more interesting. It brought a new dynamic into it that I am not used to in the books I usually read. It made the story fun and interesting.

This book was just an all-around good book. It brought new aspects that I was not expecting and made it more interesting. I highly recommend reading this book if you are looking for something new that you may not have read before. I am impatiently waiting to read the next book if there is one.
