Review for Malcontents by Ryan C. Thomas

Post by addy74 »

I finished this book recently which contained 4 novellas all by different authors. The first story was a pretty gutsy tale of a prostitute who runs away and joins a carnival, but she isn't any ordinary prostitute. The second story wasn't very memorable but was about a cooking show host who gets targeted in an unusual way by a jealous chef. The third was by far my favorite. A family man has to choose between his family or his life. It was an intense read that only made me wish it were longer. The last one I really didn't care for but it was imaginative and kept me going to the end. It was more of a mix of fantasy and the occult. A man trying to save his missing girlfriend, only to get himself mixed up in alternate realities. I would recommend this to those who love horror and dark fiction.
