Just Listen by Sarah Dessen

I first read this book a couple years back. I was in Barnes and Noble trying to find some new books to read and I came across an author I had not yet heard of. I bought it on a whim and I literally finished it that night. It was such a hard, yet captivating book to read. In my mind, Sarah Dessen knows how to properly portray being a teenage girl going through a hardship. I had never related to characters before like I had in this book. I made my sister and my friends read it because it was THAT good. Most teenage girls think they're alone when going through a hardship like the young woman in this book does, but finding someone who can help you speak out about it can take that weight off your shoulders and help you find yourself again. This is absolutely a must read!

I have read almost every one of Sarah Dessens books! You must look up her other books like Keeping The Moon, This Lullaby, That summer, How To Deal. The list goes on and on
