Strong Heart by Charlie Sheldon is a book about family heritage, the reconnection of generations, and overcoming hardships all shared through wilderness adventure.

This book by Charlie Sheldon is an adventure story about Tom Olsen and his granddaughter Sarah. One stormy night, Tom Olsen is getting ready to leave to go on a hike with his friend William AKA Eye and William's daughter Myra when there's a knock at the door. William open the door to find Ruth, Tom's ex wife holding a child's arm, her name is Sarah. They are told that Sarah is Tom's granddaughter that none of them knew about. Ruth seemed in a hurry and left Sarah with Tom. Tom had no idea what to do with Sarah so his friend William suggested that Sarah comes with them on a hike and Tom and Sarah can get to know each other on the journey. William and Myra thought Tom could teach Sarah one or two things about their place of origin but what they didn't know is that Sarah will be the one doing the teaching instead.

It appears the author did a lot of research for this book and he did a great job putting them all together. I liked this book a lot mostly because it talks about self discovery and scientific inquiry while on the journey with Tom and Sarah.

This book is best suited to readers who like geographic fiction, a little scientific and a pinch of historical mistery.

I am happy to give this book 4 out of 4 stars. I didn't find any negative aspects with this book, it was professionally edited and there was no sexual content found in the whole narrative.
