I am really looking forward to seeing Joey find his place in the world. Discovering more about Joey through other people's perspectives sounds very interesting. Thank you for the insightful review.

This book sounds very emotional yet very heartwarming as well. I hate when characters like Joey get mocked or attacked in any form, but I’m glad that so many characters also support and love him. Having both sides of life represented makes the bad easier to swallow. I’d rather read the series in order, so I’ll wait on this book until I can do that. Thank you for the helpful review.

This seems like a great book with well-written characters. However, I would want to read the first two books before reading this one. Congrats on BOTD!

Upon reading the sample, I found this story hopeful. Joey being a specially abled person has a heart full of love and courage. A good book to read.

I am glad to hear that the book is a stand alone. Joey's story seems to be emotional and inspiring too. I like how he managed to cope with the challenges in his life. I would love to know more about him. I will check the book. Great review. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

It seems like Joey's stepfather's treatment of him impaired his social and emotional development, causing him to only begin to really live life in his fifties. Maybe I should talk like this but I'm kind glad his stepfather drowned because it took the leash off Joey.

This book is well written and is kind of a realistic story. Kudos to the author for her incredible storytelling skills. It was an adventure reading this book. It definitely has all you could ever request out of a book. The characters are interesting and unique. The readers can definitely feel each emotion that the characters feel because of how relatable they are. Congrats on a great job done and welcome to the league of some of the best books on OBC.

My primary concern about the title is that it is the third installment of a novel series, yet I have not read the first two books. Still, I'll sample the title to see if I will be compelled to start reading the book series. Congratulations to the author for BOTD!
