Sounds like an interesting read, though slow-paced. The author did a good job making the reader get acquainted with the characters before the main action.

Whole Lot of Hullabaloo: A Twenty-First Century Campus Phantasmagoria by Christopher Fried is the coming-of-age story of a young man called Troy. Troy Thomas was a regular college student. He may not know what he wants to do with his life yet, but he enjoyed college life and his friend Ian. Things were fine until they weren’t. One grave mistake by Ian turned Troy’s life upside down. Before he knew it, Troy was questioning his friendship, his purpose in life, and how he tackled his everyday life. He was aware of many more people and things than he wanted to, and now that he was made aware, there was no going back for him. There was a whole lot of hullabaloo, and Troy was caught in the middle of it. Will he survive this chaos? Or is his life going to be changed forever?

I have to agree this book is very slow, I seem to care a great deal about Troy and his reputation. I will skip this one though.

While I might not be comfortable with the slow pace, I am eager to know what made the situation escalate so much and how it could be resolved. Thanks for the awesome review!

This book seems to portray an intense and dramatic story. What was the comstume like? And what did it signify? How did Troy and Ian' life change? For the worse, or the better? I will check the book out. Congratulations on being the BOTD

This kind of book does not interest me, because I am not a fan of this genre of books, therefore I will pass on this one. Congratulations on this book of the day and a satisfactory review.

The book at first was kinda boring but towards the middle began to become interesting.
Taking time to explain the characters was nice.
Also the controversy which arose as a result of the costume also layed empahasis on the saying, 'one man's meat is another man's poison'.

Like its title, Whole Lot of Hullabaloo is an intriguing book which examines issues related to racism in a light-hearted way but ignites serious conversations nonetheless.

Whole Lot of Hullabaloo by Christopher Fried is about two college students, Troy Thomas and Ian Mueller. Struggling with school works, partying on the weekends, and pining for girls in their classes. One Halloween party changes everything when Ian makes a controversial costume choice. As a lover of humour and comedy, I would like to read this book. Congrats on #BOTD

I really enjoyed reading this book. For me, the pacing was not slow. I like how the author took the time to develop the characters well, encouraging the reader to form attachments to the characters. I liked the humor, satire, and drama.
