Cosmopolis Official Review

Post by OregonGirl »

Don DeLillo weaves a self indulgent yet amazingly human tale of Eric Packer and the world he lives in being a young billionare. The book has a cadence, much like a musical score, that mimics the wheels of Eric's limo, as he starts and stops his way through New York City, on a day that the President is in town, to go across town to get a haircut. Eric is anything but squeaky clean and the book makes you question why it is that you enjoy his character. For me it was because through all his flaws and trysts, he made me think about the world around me and where things could be headed. A great read that is not for the faint of heart.
