The book Backcombo & Tatto by Shea R Embry focuses on four women that is;Racheal, Aunt Mary Opal, Jesi and Nicole who come from different background but end up being best friends. Racheal seems to be leading a successful life being the wife to Jake who is a musician rockstar. Aunt Mary Opal on the other hand is advanced in age and have had a miserable life in the past. The two meet in a club for the first time. It is later after sometime that Jesi and Nicole join up and they become friends. In the early days of their friendship the four seems to keep secrets from each other but as time goes by the open up and learn to trust one another.

What i loved most about the book is the flow of events. The fact that these four friends, despite having a dark past they hold on to each other, endure the struggles together and still stick to each others side even when new opportunities arise. The four women struggle with issues such as illness, death, struggles in their marriages and family too. Another aspect that i loved most in the book is the fact that these four women do not allow their differences interfere with their friendship with my favorite character being Aunt Mary Opal who has been portrayed as a very mature character. She does not judge any of the three friends considering the fact that she is old and of a different page with others. Put in mind that Rachel has tattooed her entire body, Jesi is bisexual and Nicole is homosexual. Aunt Mary Opal does not see any big issue with that and she chooses to focus on the friendship other than their lifestyle.

The book has also some humorous moments that will make you enjoy reading it. Take for instance where the four friends laugh at a joke to an extent that they fall on the floor and end up peeing on themselves. I sincerely loved every part of this book and thus did not find any negative aspect in it.

I'd say this is the best book i have so far come across with. It has been professionaly edited with a perfect twist of events. From the book, i learnt that it's wise to make friends whom you can share all life challenges you are facing and times have fun together. Age is not a limit. For that i give it a four out of four stars.

Having some explicit sexual content, i would recommend the book to a mature audience specifically those who are not bothered by homesexual, bisexual kind of a story.
