What’s the worst that can happen to you after having a rough ride to work on the day of your big presentation? Maureen, a happily married woman with a good-paying job, seemed to be comfortable with life until the day of her presentation. Having lost her promotion to a colleague turned traitor, she gets home to find her only sister in bed with her husband. Maureen leaves her home out of anger without a destination in mind and finally finds herself locked up in her past life and family, which she dreads. How does she come out of this web of unfortunate happenings and still get all she always wanted? Find out in this intriguing fiction novel.
This book has numerous positive aspects. The saying, “there is always a light at the end of the tunnel,” somewhat appears to be accurate and at times, it doesn’t. Betrayal from someone you trust most often leaves a mark that will last a long time, and strength of character is typically needed to overcome. Judith Staponkus shows us how to acquire this strength in his book.
With a great and captivating storyline, the writer managed to educate us on the fact that although we experience negativities, there could also be a good thing in that bad experience. Hence, the saying, “your problems only make you stronger.” The book was properly edited, and the story is quite engaging, as every reader would get glued to the book. Also, this book has educated me on the fact that your past will always have a link with your present and that certain things can never be escaped in life as they will indeed find a way to come back to you.
Despite the positivities, I came across a few minimal spelling errors and also the use of a profane word. Nonetheless, the writer still successfully passed the message across to the readers. I rate this book a 4 out of 4 stars as the writer helped unravel many truths through the story. I would recommend this book for all individuals who need to develop the strength of character necessary to overcome tough challenges.
