Review of T.t.t

[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "T.t.t" by Robert Charles Cooke.]
T.T.T.; God Soul Truth by Robert Charles Cooke is about Robert Cooke's radical spiritual awakening. Robert was surrounded by dysfunctional people in his childhood and absorbed their confusion and fear. Then one day he symbolically "woke up" and took responsibility for his life instead of blaming others. Through meditation and looking inward, he found answers to spiritual questions that have been nagging at him since childhood. Robert’s story is about his journey to a higher consciousness.
This book was very exciting for me to read because I am having a very similar spiritual experience. Robert observed that most fundamentalist Christians tend to be unquestioning followers. They just repeat things that are said to them in church instead of looking inside themselves and thinking through the big questions in life. Instead of looking to the church for answers, he looked inside himself for the truth through meditation and prayer. One of my favorite sentences in the book is “We are the writers of our Bible, and we govern what we want to believe.” I have been struggling with this issue also. The Bible has gone through so many human transformations, it cannot be taken literally as some churches teach. This has caused a shift in my belief system.
I kept wondering what or who led him toward meditation and toward realizing a higher consciousness. For many years, science has investigated our brains and mapped our neural connections, but we still don’t know where our “consciousness” resides. Robert described visions that sounded like quantum level phenomena. We think of consciousness and thought as being very mystical, but consciousness is the intangible energy that connects everyone and everything.
This book could use another round of editing and proofreading. I found several typos, but I identified so strongly with the content, I didn’t care about the errors. Robert’s story demonstrates that we can bring our minds and hearts into a coherent state and have access to an unlimited amount of intuitive knowledge by looking inside ourselves and trusting the Source, whatever you define that to be. That is very exciting to me because it is possible for a relatively small minority of people to literally transform all of humanity by collectively operating at a higher consciousness. Our world needs that now!
The only thing I didn’t like about the book was the foul language. The author is an over-the-road truck driver, and he expressed himself the way he knows best, but I don’t think it was appropriate.
I think this book would appeal to anyone who is looking for answers to the big questions in life or searching for some type of spiritual awakening. Readers should be aware that the content is presented in a very raw form. I am giving this book a rating of 3 out of 4 stars. I loved it.
