Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is a book that speaks deeply into the lives and times of men.

The book tells us about the yearly adventures of 4 friends. Two of the friends actually conceived the idea of an adventure when they were in grad school. The idea to travel far away from everyday life's pressure and craziness to another place where they could be free was later pursued years after graduation. These adventures continued for 15 years across the continents of the world. Their journey through the world made them see different cultures and personality traits. They also made memories as free young men.

I enjoyed reading the book. It gave me more insight into what it takes to be a man. Men too cry; they have feelings and can be weak at times. But, they can't show it because the societal system does not permit them. Rachel's husband had everything the world thought he needed, but he felt tired and disappointed deep within. Daniel, the perfect guy at a point in his life, had his share of "Life". Sam wished he could have his life back. While Alex, seen as the free guy, was envied by his friends who had families and somehow wished they could be like him once again.

The story of these four friends is the story of men worldwide (a fact proven in their journey). Men have a thousand and one things going through their minds, unlike women, who readily share things with each other. Men hardly share their pain with each other. They wouldn't want to be perceived as being weak. But they need a shoulder to lean on, several warm embraces and a hand to wipe their tears. Men are babies at heart; they need to be attended to. Times have changed! Men of this time have a greater destiny than their predecessors—so many loads rest on their shoulders. Man Mission summarises man's acts, needs and regrets.

Bible verses are used at the introduction of every chapter. The writer perhaps uses this to bolster each initial quote or word of wisdom. But not in a religious context. The book was exceptionally edited because I found no error in it. There is absolutely nothing I dislike about this book. The storyline is superb and unique.

I recommend this book to all married women, men (young and old) and lovers of good books. This book made me emotional and increased my wisdom. So, I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars.
