Man Mission is a story about friendship and travel written by Eytan Uliel. The story is told in the first person by the narrator. The narrator, Sam, Dan and Alec, have been friends for many years. Throughout the years, the group of friends graduates together and build their careers together. Even their families like each other. A new tradition in their lives is born when Sam and the narrator decide to take a trip to New Zealand. The plan is to get away from their demanding careers and relationships and be like real men and do macho stuff.

Things get scary and then hilarious as Sam and the narrator navigate a deserted trail, injuries and a brush with drug dealers. Scared but thrilled with their adventure, Sam and the narrator decide to take an adventurous trip like that every year. In the following years, Dan and Alec join the trips and the Man Mission is cemented as a tradition in their lives. They form memories and learn life lessons that enrich their lives. In parallel to the travel stories, we also follow the narrator’s life story as the years pass.

This book discusses the importance of recreation in one’s life. It emphasizes the importance of taking a break from our stressful lives and taking the time to enjoy nature and adventure. The story also sees a lot of changes in the narrator’s life. When the book starts, he is a bachelor with a new relationship and a zest for his life and career. As the story progresses, he becomes a husband and a father. He struggles with feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt. His friends and their trips together invigorate him and recharge him for his normal life again.

I like the format in which the book was written. The scenes alternate between the trips and the narrator’s life, allowing the readers to understand the impact of the trips on his life. I also like the simple and humorous way in which the book is written. It is like hearing a story from a friend.

There is nothing I disliked about the book. It is professionally edited. I couldn’t find any errors. There is some profanity in the book.

I give this book 4 out of 4 stars because I enjoyed it very much, and it is well edited. I recommend it to young adults and adults. I also recommend it to readers who like travel stories, drama and feel-good stories.
