Review of Duke's Collection of Short Stories

As the title implies, Duke's Collection of Short Stories by Donald T. Rice is a book with a lot of short stories that touch on all the ramifications of life. This book contains fifteen intriguing stories.
I don't know why people still use drugs despite the harmful effects they have on the user. Episode, the first story in this book, talked about the peril a user would face if he or she continued using drugs. Friends, as it was clearly stated in the story Hidden in Plain Sight, could either make or break you. Jessica, despite knowing how toxic her relationship with Simone was, still went ahead to be friends with her at her peril. Jessica later died as a result of her bad choice of friendship. Many of these stories would help any teenager battling with self-esteem. Never judge a book by its cover. This is a story that would make anyone not worry about being picked on and make them look at the bigger picture of life. Students often bully those who they think are better off than they are. This story will teach you a lot about life, both as a bully and as the one being bullied.
All of these brief stories were easy to relate to, and they all contained a life-long lesson. The author did a nice job. This book is a must-read for every teenager out there. The author made sure the effect of drug use was emphasized. This is a good book for those battling with low self-esteem too. Sometimes we think life is unfair to us, but we don't know what lies ahead. While growing up, I was often picked on because of my appearance, so I know what it feels like. The author did a nice job on the plot. The plot was very realistic and well detailed.
This book didn't have any flaws. The author painted a clear picture of this story in my mind. Lucky's Right to Rule was easily my best book. I would use this story as a speech when I address my friends the next time we meet. There is always someone out there who believes in you. The stories were brief, emotional, and interesting. Some of the stories had a happy ending, some ended tragically, and some of them ended in a way I never expected. I wanted to know what became of Rock in the story Fallen on Deaf Ears.
I'm rating this book 4 out of 4 stars. I just found only two errors while reading. This shows that it was professionally edited. I would love to recommend this book to people who love crime thrillers.
