Shea brings alive a powerful friendship between four women.Racheal Leblanch, Jesi Viscuso, Nicole and Aunt Mary Opal. With each stack with varying character set starting from Aunt Mary Opal's covertness as a widow to Rachael's loyalty in her marriage and Jesi's stubbornness from a wealthy up bringing to Nicole's emotional set backs aroused by a drastic divorce, their friendship somehow flourished, paving the way for each woman to find comfort in times of grim.Their time out, their cocktail and their adventure had helped them to encourage one and other that gave them the desire to live life albeit their past life experience.

An empathetic tale of fortitude and secrets, Toothcomb and Tattoo reveals a sentimental devotion by friends who are not only committed but who laterally understands the real meaning of frienship. In the beginning, the book unveil an openess of each woman but as their bond grew deeper, each had to hide something in order to keep their relationship going. Each woman plays a significant role in promoting such status quo but then and again, Aunt Mary Opal had became the linchpin of their friendship and spur much influence on her younger friends. As her life grew darker quicker than before, she starts to become more protective about her relationship with her younger friends.Cradle with an empathy for her three friend, she had to express her inner fear to outsiders but once in the presence of her three companion, she exerts her influence in making sure everything seems natural to let the younger ones have fun.Yet under the suspicious eyes of the three younger woman, they are convince that she is hiding a deeper secret. But then and again, their biggest barrier individually to save Aunt Mary Opal is how to find a solution that won't interfere with their friendship.

Shea brings a wonderful plot that captivate the fixture of the woman world. She plies a remedy for loneliness by making these women to see themselves as companion who not only shed tears together but who would sacrifies anything just to make their friendship became larger than life. The fragility of these four women in this story and how their life prosper when they have each other truely sees how Shea understands the intrinsic value of true friendship.

However, to my dismay, the book needs more polishing on its settings even when the character are well engaged. The story itself lacks fundamental narrative elements needed to captivate the readers attention.Shea only depicts a one dimensional world and thus this creates a gloomy picturesque of the setting in which the story took place.

Even with the above drew back, I would rate this book a 4 out of 4 stars because of the way Shea gives life to her character and how each of them plays to make a complete story. The story line in itself flows freely with every chapter being colligative to any previous events. With few errors in the grammer and typos, the book looks flawless thanks to a thorough and well editing process.I am opined not to undermine the creativity in this book and the idea it tries to unwrap.

Finally, the book in itself is notoriously feminist however, it has a degree to cream a desired effect for any male who are willing to give away their ego to understand how the woman world revolves.I would also highlight for readers discretion that this book is indeed very mature in content and contain themes that are suitable for ages above 18.
