I personally liked the book. It is not my type of genre but the author made characters easy to connect with. The story, once you have passed the first couple of pages where all characters involved are in and try to figure it out who's who and which is which it naturally flows and you find yourself routed in the story. I, again, this is not my type but the author writing skills made me read the story and also I liked how he combined descriptive writing with the flow of the story and also with the characters developing in a natural way. The dialogue is not forced and the author didn't stagger the book by describing, hystory, the enviroment but let them to be discovered.
I recommend reading it. It is a book that i will heappily re-read it.

Tom is planning to go on long needed and planned hicking trip with his native american friends when he gets an unexpected visit from his ex-wife. To everyone surprise she brought an orphan grand-daughter for him to take care of. A grand-daughter which being already at 13 years old, he has never heared off.

Now the adventures of them four going into the wilderness, the supernatural folklore interwine with the scientific thinking make this book into a page turner. All characters discover the meaning of true friendship and the importance of doing the honorable thing.

4 stars from me.
