Man Mission, by Eytan Uliel, is a fictional novel that explores the ups and downs experienced in a man's life. The author has used the lives of four major characters, who are best friends, to bring out the flavor and message of his book.

Sam, Daniel, Alec, and the narrator have been best friends since their school days. To make the most of their friendship, they started a norm of hiking once in a while. Later, the norm became every year's part of their future lives. Consequently, they improvise their norm by naming it "Man Mission" and setting its rules. They tour different parts of the world, including Asia, Africa, Europe, and America. While out, they share problems, console each other, and learn lessons that change their lives. Although the tours were previously like a fun day out for boys, they later became an excuse for the now married men to get a little breathing room away from their families. The joy, terror, pain, and loss that the four experienced on their tours made them realize their role as men.

Eytan used simple vocabulary in his book. I found reading his work easy because of the simplicity of his words. Another positive aspect of this book is the flow of the story. Throughout this book, humor, joy, sadness, and all sorts of emotions got me absorbed in the narration from the beginning to the epilogue.

The book also covers almost all cultures around the world. As described in the book, the adventures in New Zealand, Japan, Fiji, Spain, South Africa, and many other places made me learn one or two things about the cultures in those regions. I felt the author somehow brought the whole world together, which I must congratulate him on. Furthermore, I loved the author's unique style of writing. The narration's switching between the present and flashbacks was perfect. In addition, the book has important life lessons on issues having to do with parenting and marriage.

I did not see any negative things about the book. And thumbs up to the editors who did an excellent job. Therefore, I will rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I loved every single bit of it and also learned a lot.

I recommend Man Mission to teenagers and adult males because the book describes the journey of four boys who go through several adventures that help them learn what a man is supposed to be.
