Review of Man Mission
Man Mission follows a group of four young adults on their journey through life. During college, they established a trend that every year they would take a week-long trip together. This trip serves as an escape for these men as life's challenges and difficulties start to appear. It continues as they grow, as they get jobs, get married and have children. They call this yearly trip their "man mission," a ritual they will end up keeping for fifteen years. Man Mission, written by Eytan Uliel, is a novel that takes the reader on many adventures with four young men as they travel all around the world.
I so thoroughly enjoyed this novel that I am happy to say that I have no negative comments. It wasn't boring, and I found it very realistic. As a young adult, I could see myself relating to a lot of the situations in the novel. It was a very nice novel about the challenges of adulthood. It didn't sugarcoat anything, and it told it how it was. I especially appreciated the fact that Man Mission was exceptionally well edited.
I have a lot of positive comments on Man Mission. I want to start with the fact that the novel was very creative. I usually don't read novels of this genre, but the description made me give it a chance. I am very glad that I did. The author did an excellent job of portraying the different characters at their various stages in life. It did not make everything perfect and happy. It was genuine about life's ups and downs. It showed the different flaws and strengths of each character. I appreciated the fact that, throughout, you saw how everyone grew up and matured. How their priorities and their ways of thinking changed. It was refreshing because it outlined the impact that adulthood has on many individuals.
I would rate Man Mission 4 out of 4 stars because it was very entertaining. I loved how it was a mix of serious and fun. It wasn't purely about the different adventures the men went on; it was also about their personal lives. The author has an exceptional ability to make me laugh and then reflect in the quiet. Man Mission was such a fun read.
I would recommend Man Mission to a more mature audience who is curious about how adulthood can change a person and their perspective on life. This novel is for those who love going on adventures to escape reality. It is truly an amazing novel that is great for a light read.
